• Respect the privacy of the wildlife, this is their habitat.
  • Beware of the animals, they are wild and can be unpredictable.
  • Don’t crowd the animals or make sudden noises or movements.
  • Don’t feed the animals, it upsets their diet and leads to human dependence.
  • Keep quiet, noise disturbs the wildlife and may antagonize your fellow visitors.
  • Stay in your vehicle at all times, except at designated picnic or walking areas.
  • Keep below the maximum speed limit (40 kph/25 mph).
  • Never drive off-road, this severely damages the habitat.
  • When viewing wildlife keep to a minimum distance of 20 meters and pull to the side of the road so as to allow others to pass.
  • Leave no litter and never leave fires unattended or discard burning objects.
  • Respect the cultural heritage of Kenya, never take pictures of the local people or their habitat without asking their permission, respect the cultural traditions of Kenya and always dress with decorum.
  • Stay over or leave before dusk, visitors must vacate the Park between 6.00 p.m. – 6.00 a.m. unless they are camping overnight. Night game driving is not allowed.
  • Check local weather and sea conditions before entering the marine park.
  • Some marine life is dangerous; do not touch anything under water.
  • Do not damage or remove corals. It is a living organism which takes many years to form and is host to many rare and endangered species.
  • Do not remove shells, starfish or any other sea – flora or fauna. Removal is illegal, seriously disrupts the eco system and some marine life is dangerous. The areas outside the parks and reserves is threatened by excessive shell collection. Empty shells provide homes for hermit crabs and some fish.
  • Do not buy shells and other marine animal products as souvenirs as this encourages further plundering of the reefs and beaches.
  • Never dispose of litter on the beach or in the sea. It is illegal and environmentally unfriendly. Marine turtles can confuse clear plastic waste with jelly fish and will die if they eat it.
  • Hand – feeding of fish is discouraged. It disrupts normal feeding patterns.
  • Hook and line fishing is allowed in the Marine Reserves but prohibited in Marine Parks. Spear guns are not permitted for use in either.
  • Environmentally friendly activities such as snorkelling and diving are encouraged, under the supervision of the Kenya Wildlife Service wardens, who work closely with tour operators and hoteliers to ensure strict adherence to this code of practice.
  • Avoid restaurants that serve undersized crabs and lobsters as this contributes to their rapid demise.
  • Support traditional coastal livelihoods and do not give money to children on the beach, as this can encourage them to stay away from school.

  1. Our quotes will specifically indicate availability of any service/s at the time of the request only and in no way constitutes a confirmed booking or liability. On our part as Wild Trails & Travel to deliver such service/s we need a receipt of confirmation, in writing, and receipt of deposit/full payment as case maybe from an agent or client.
  2. WILD TRAILS &TRAVEL does not undertake to hold any allocations/bookings on behalf of an agent or client without a written confirmation and prepayment of invoices are received.
  3. Confirmations and relevant vouchers will only be issued by Wild Trails & Travel to the service providers on receipt of proof of full prepayment of invoice/s by our clients.
  4. WILD TRAILS & TRAVEL accepts no responsibility for non availability of specified accommodation, transport or any other service quoted for if the service/s are not confirmed in time, in writing and prepaid in full by an agent or client. In such a case, Wild Trails & Travel reserves the right to seek alternative available accommodation of similar classification.
  5. All confirmed bookings to agents or clients by Wild Trails & Travel will be subject to the relevant hotels/lodges and other supplier’s cancellation policies as per industry practices and any agent or client that cancels a booking within the specified time frame will be charged in full for such cancellation fees without exception.
  6. All rates are subject to change with notice to our clients.
  7. For all bookings on our safari itineraries/services, a 50% deposit is needed to confirm the same and balance in full at least 30 days before Tour commencement. However, if reservation is made within 30 days to travel date, full payment will be required to confirm the booking.
  8. Our rates are inclusive of all government taxes & other statutory deductions where applicable. However, should they increase or decrease , Wild Trails & Travel reserves the right to adjust and reflect the new rates accordingly under advice to our clients.
  9. Wild Trails & Travel endeavors to fully follow the pre-agreed itinerary with the agent/client beforehand. However, we reserve the right to alter the itinerary if situations beyond our control so demands under advice to our clients. Such cases may be caused by: airline cancellation, Political turmoil , bad weather, industrial/Labor problems, sickness etc.
  10. Check in time Hotels/Lodges is from 1200 hours on the first day while check out time is 1000 am on the last day. Extra charge will be applicable in the event of early check in /late checkout.
  11. Day room use can be arranged on request at a cost, subject to checkout time of 1800hrs after which a full day charge will apply.
  12. Be guided that child rate only applies to children aged between 2 to 12 years.
  13. It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that his/her travel documents which include Travel and Medical insurances are in order before travel date. In some instances, vaccinations are a requirement. Please seek guidance from your nearest embassy/ consulate near you in case of doubt. More importantly, kindly ensure your passport has enough pages to accommodate the anticipated VISA Stamps.
  14. For all independent Travelers, consultation fee of $100 shall be charged, and shall be payable 30 days before commencement of Safari.
  • Notification of the intended cancellation from client should be received in writing addressed to Wild Trails & Travel Ltd.
  • Bookings cancelled or reduced in length of stay, or reduced in number of occupancy are subject to cancellation fees as below :
    • 35- 16 days prior to arrival – 35%
    • 15- 8 days -50%
    • 7 – 0 days [no show] – 100%
  • However, the just indicated fees may depend on Hotels/Lodges booking terms.
  • All amounts received thereof arising from the cancellation will be sent to our clients less the cancellation fees applicable and the bank charges to wire the same back to the client.
